Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Site Coordinator to join our team in Palo Alto, CA. As a Site Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supervising and managing student online tutoring sessions, tracking student progress and outcomes, and collaborating with staff, parents, teachers, and program leads to coordinate the implementation of our curriculum. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage student online tutoring sessions (Grades K-10th) to ensure a safe and productive learning environment
  • Track student progress and outcomes in the curriculum to identify areas of improvement and provide targeted support
  • Collaborate with staff, parents, teachers, and program leads to coordinate the implementation of our curriculum and ensure alignment with our mission and values
  • Communicate with program staff, students, and tutors regarding attendance and schedules to ensure seamless program operations
  • Assist staff with implementing in-class activities and/or lessons to enhance the learning experience for our students
  • Assist with the organization of special events to promote our programs and engage with the community
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom space to provide a conducive learning environment for our students
  • Help transport students to trips, events, and tutoring via EPATT vans to ensure their safety and well-being

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Associate's degree or higher (or in progress) in a relevant field such as education, youth development, or a related field
  • Experience in a youth development organization or school setting, with a proven track record of working with diverse populations
  • Ability to deal effectively with youth, including discipline challenges, and demonstrate patience, empathy, and understanding
  • Experience leading a group or managing people, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with young people, parents, and/or community leaders, with a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Must pass a background check and provide TB test clearance to ensure the safety and well-being of our students
  • Must have a current CPR/First Aid certification or commit to obtaining one once hired to respond to emergencies and provide basic life support

Preferred Qualifications

  • Spanish fluency is a significant plus, as it will enable you to communicate effectively with our diverse student population and their families
  • Experience working with and/or in minority communities, with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities that exist in these contexts
  • Familiarity with online tutoring platforms and educational software, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies
