About the Role: Sleep Therapy Inbound Customer Service Representative

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Sleep Therapy Inbound Customer Service Representative to join our Sleep Central Inbound Call Center in our Murray Operations division. As a key member of our team, you will serve as the first line of contact for CPAP resupply customers, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring seamless order intake and management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a patient advocate to resolve questions or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collects patient, source information, and inputs data into our proprietary e-Intake system.
  • Completes thorough verification for products and services, ensuring accuracy and quality control.
  • Develops and maintains a working knowledge of current Medicare, Medicaid, insurance regulations, and FDA and JCAHO guidelines.
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, providing solutions and alternatives as needed.
  • Provides basic technical customer service assistance for CPAP equipment and educates patients on CPAP supplies.
  • Manages all aspects of initial intake via high-volume inbound phone calls, ensuring prompt and regular attendance.
  • Processes related patient paperwork and tickets to ensure timely fulfillment of product orders.
  • Makes outbound calls as needed to collect patient data and ensures data accuracy.
  • Maintains confidentiality and practices discretion and caution when handling sensitive information.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • One to three years of related prior work experience in a team-oriented environment, preferably in the medical field.
  • Strong customer service background and experience with administrative record management.
  • Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position).

Preferred Skills and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of billing reimbursement and insurance policies and requirements.
  • Experience with medical billing practices and durable medical equipment (DME) or home medical equipment (HME).
  • Medical terminology and ability to interpret a variety of instructions in various communication mediums.
  • Multi-tasking and attention to detail, with self-motivation, organization, and time-management skills.
