Key Responsibilities
As a Store Lead (Non-Complex) at Walmart, you will be responsible for directing and guiding members of management and hourly associates on proper customer service approaches and techniques. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Modeling excellent customer service and ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved within company guidelines and standards
 - Building relationships with associates to ensure proper feedback and answering questions or providing information to customers and associates
 - Driving and ensuring the financial performance of the facility by confirming budgeted sales, wages, and other expenses are achieved
 - Assisting the store manager in leading the management team in controlling expenses and wages to ensure expenses are indexed to sales
 - Creating and implementing plans to improve the financial performance of the facility, including budgeting and analyzing economic trends and community needs for budget forecasting
 - Participating in community outreach programs and encouraging and supporting associates in serving as good members of the community
 - Directing facility operations by setting the standard for appropriate service levels, teaching and developing effective merchandise presentation, and providing direction and guidance on executing company programs and strategic initiatives
 - Providing supervision and development opportunities for members of management and hourly associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, and recruiting qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential
 
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 1 year's general management experience to include financial accountability
 - 2 years' of college; OR 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's experience supervising 10 associates/employees; OR 2 years' general work experience and 1 year's experience supervising 10 associates/employees
 - For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state-specific requirements, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required
 - For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training may be required
 
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University
 - General work experience supervising 20 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing
