As a Remote Medical Customer Service Representative, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding support to our members, providing comprehensive information about their membership, and addressing their inquiries with professionalism and empathy.

Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to Member Inquiries: Answer incoming calls professionally, accurately, timely, and courteously, addressing member inquiries and providing comprehensive information about their membership.
- Log and Document Calls: Determine the nature of calls and log information in the Communication Log, ensuring accurate records and efficient follow-up.
- Access Member Information: Utilize proprietary systems to access member information and assist callers with their queries.
- Escalate Complex Issues: Forward inquiries requiring further research to the appropriate department and transfer calls to specialized queues for complex issues, such as claims and authorizations.
- Time Management: Manage time effectively to ensure calls are answered promptly, and follow-ups are completed in a timely manner.
- Meet Performance Expectations: Meet or exceed minimum key job accountabilities for the Customer Service Representative role, ensuring high-quality performance and exceptional member support.
- Collaboration and Communication: Attend weekly staff meetings to discuss issues and promote teamwork, and respond to requests from internal and external customers as needed.
Essential Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of customer service experience; inbound call center experience preferred.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to proprietary systems.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with members.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Call Center Experience: 1 year of call center experience.
- Healthcare Experience: 1 year of experience in the healthcare industry.
