Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement Sustainable Strategies for Long Term Growth: Create and execute strategies to support the long-term growth of the Parks Product Development & Retail organization, aligning with the company's overall vision and objectives.
  • Contribute to Strategic Vision and Objectives: Support the development of long-range plans and strategic objectives for the Parks Product Development & Retail group, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Implement Consumer-Led and Product-Specific Business Strategies: Develop and execute business strategies for priority initiatives that create long-term value for the segment, driven by consumer insights and product knowledge.
  • Lead Relationships with Key Internal Partners: Collaborate with key internal partners, including Corporate Alliance, Operating Participants, Site Operations, and Disney Consumer Products, to drive strategies and initiatives.
  • Supervise Ongoing Results and Critical Metrics: Monitor and analyze key initiative results and critical metrics, recommending adjustments as needed to ensure business objectives are met.
  • Maintain a Strong Awareness of the Global Merchandise Business: Stay up-to-date on the global merchandise business, including knowledge of licensed, vertical, and flexible business models.
  • Act as Strategic Program Management Center of Excellence: Remain advised on critical business and industry topics, assessing in-flight strategies and identifying alternatives as needed.
  • Use Data and Analytics to Build Compelling Business Cases: Leverage internal and external data and analytics to build compelling business cases in close partnership with finance and senior leaders.
  • Develop Project Plans and Lead Cross-Functional Execution: Create project plans to support organizational initiatives, craft tactics to achieve objectives, and lead cross-functional execution.
  • Drive Engagement and Initiative Success: Ensure consistent, thorough, and well-organized project management to drive engagement and initiative success.
  • Identify and Implement Critical Change Management Strategies: Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure initiatives are successful.
  • Prepare and Present Cohesive Materials on Initiatives: Prepare and present executive-level materials on initiatives, applying compelling visuals.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

  • Validated 6 Years of Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in a related field, with a focus on strategy, transformation, or a similar discipline.
  • Experience in Merchandising/Planning: Experience in merchandising/planning for a vertical specialty retail environment.
  • Validated Analytical Capabilities: Proven analytical capabilities, with the ability to analyze complex data and drive business insights.
  • Exceptional Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to probe for answers, look beyond the obvious, and address hidden problems.
  • Proven Track Record of Excelling in Large Matrixed Organizations: Proven track record of excelling in large matrixed organizations, with superior communication skills and the capacity to develop and deliver presentations.
  • Expertise in Project Management: Expertise in project management, with the ability to balance shifting priorities and lead sophisticated projects on time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree: Master's degree in a relevant field of study.
