Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize blithequark's pharmacy data entry methods and guidelines to process new patient enrollments, entering information into our system, and handling patient medication requests within HIPAA guidelines.
  • Investigate and resolve missing medication information, interpret clinical abbreviations (SIG codes), and settle all data entry-related exceptions.
  • Handle communication with patients (inbound calls, chats, messages) and make outbound calls to prescribers and patients on a case-by-case basis.
  • Resolve Third-Party Rejections by investigating, gathering information, making corrections, and resubmitting for processing according to individual plan requirements.
  • Provide support to pharmacists, both in the office and at different locations, and escalate issues to senior-level staff as necessary.
  • Acquire and maintain an active professional license or certification within the initial 90 days of employment.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Basic level computer skills, including starting and shutting down a computer, using a mouse to point and click, starting and closing programs, switching between applications, saving files, printing documents, and accessing information online.
  • Basic web browser skills, including opening a browser, typing in URLs, using a search engine, bookmarking a site, navigating using back/forward/stop buttons, and filling out forms online.
  • Intermediate level keyboarding skills (at least 25 WPM, typing by memory, formatting documents).
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least one year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or call center environment.
  • Experience providing customer support to internal and external clients, including meeting quality standards for services and assessing customer satisfaction.
  • Intermediate to advanced level keyboarding skills (at least 35 WPM, typing by memory, formatting documents).
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English.
