About the Job

We are looking for a hard worker and imaginative events manager who can lead the development and delivery of elite events from in-person to virtual and everything in between in India for external and internal audiences. The ideal candidate will have the ability to mix key thinking with execution at scale, be willing to stretch boundaries, and offer groundbreaking ideas that are both useful and innovative. You will be responsible for partnering consistently with a regional team of trained event professionals while collaborating with local PR, Content, and Marketing teams to bring Indian titles to life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Innovative conceptualization, creation of inventive proposals, and quotations
  • Collaboration with key partners across various disciplines to align on the stories to work through events
  • Creative strategic thinking and problem-solving
  • Ability to pivot quickly and maintain a positive attitude and sense of humor
  • Informed captain on everything events, proactively ordering feedback and perspectives from cross-functional partners
  • Production of creative and first-rate experiences that are consumer-driven and unique to blithequark
  • Adaptability to hybrid or virtual events, with knowledge of the latest tools, platforms, and technologies
  • External vendor and agency management and oversight
  • Providing the team with key direction on the acquisition of venues, vendors, entertainment, and event-related requirements
  • Superior project, budget, and time management skills, within tight deadlines

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • 4+ years of events experience, ideally from the media and entertainment industry, including making, executing, planning, and staffing events at a company, studio, agency, or with a brand
  • A self-starter who can work independently, under pressure, while consistently exercising smart judgment even when faced with ambiguity
  • Creative strategic thinker and problem solver
  • Ability to pivot quickly and maintain a positive attitude and sense of humor
  • Articulate what is and isn't required to deliver a successful mission
  • Be straightforward and unafraid to challenge, clarify, or call out obstacles
  • Nimble with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to focus to complete tasks
  • Fantastic communication skills
  • Experience working in the Asia-Pacific region is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience in film or TV awards campaigns
  • Knowledge of the latest event management tools and technologies
  • Fluency in multiple languages
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
