Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Operations Training Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of training programs for our aviation support professionals and staff. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight in the development and delivery of training programs, utilizing various methods, techniques, learning tools, and best practices to ensure high-quality, relevant, and cost-effective training solutions.
  • Conduct training needs assessments through job analysis, career paths, and meetings with stakeholders or customers.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and company policies by conducting audits and classroom observations, and enforcing established procedures in classrooms and training simulators.
  • Collaborate with Technical Operations management and Talent Acquisition in assessing training requests by analyzing hiring trends and evaluating operational and business decisions.
  • Provide oversight to on-the-job training (OJT) and Working Experience observations and evaluations.
  • Manage a team of instructors, working in various fleets and instructor expansion for Section 147 AMTs Air programs by regularly meeting to discuss progress, provide performance feedback, and assign new tasks.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
  • Two (2) years of experience in managing teams or direct reports.
  • Experience with policy and strategy implementation for short-term results.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to independently manage projects and deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite; a working knowledge of computer systems and databases.
  • Ability to influence others beyond their work area regarding policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to travel internationally, and appear on Saturday or Sunday, evenings, and holidays, as needed to meet operational requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of experience in aviation training and/or maintenance.
  • Familiarity with modern training delivery methods - e.g., e-learning platforms, virtual and instructor-led classrooms, online courses, and other digital tools to create interactive and engaging training experiences.
  • Ability to create and manage training content, including videos, interactive modules, and other multimedia assets.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and curriculum design strategies.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to assess training effectiveness through observations and evaluations as well as through metrics and data analysis.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with instructors and cross-functional departments.
