At blithequark, we are a leading provider of Health Information Management and Revenue Integrity Services, dedicated to helping our clients receive the reimbursement they are entitled to. Our Revenue Recovery Department is a collaborative team of registered nurses, coding professionals, and billing experts who work together to ensure seamless patient care and accurate reimbursement. As a Project Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting this team, leveraging your analytical skills and attention to detail to drive success. **Job Duties:** As a Project Associate, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including: * Retrieving patient medical records from various Hospital systems, ensuring accurate and timely access to critical information. * Generating and preparing patient itemized bills in appropriate formats for internal and external audits, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. * Extracting and entering necessary information from/to Hospital patient accounting systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. * Making phone calls to Post Acute Healthcare Facilities to obtain information needed on patients, building strong relationships with healthcare professionals. * Running and creating reports to support data-driven decision-making and team performance. * Assisting with any other information gathering or data entry as needed by the recovery team, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines. * Scanning and indexing of documents, maintaining a secure and organized digital archive. **Essential Qualifications:** To succeed in this role, you will need: * A high school diploma or equivalent, with a focus on business, healthcare, or a related field. * 1-2 years of experience in medical records management, data entry, or a related field, with a strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with experience in data analysis and report creation. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with healthcare professionals and team members. * Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Ability to work in a hybrid setting, with a mix of remote and in-office work, and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. **Preferred Qualifications:** While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset: * Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as healthcare administration or business. * Experience working in a healthcare setting, with knowledge of medical records management and billing processes. * Certification in medical records management or a related field, such as RHIA or CCS. * Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and other healthcare software systems. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues. **Skills and Competencies:** To excel in this role, you will need: * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with healthcare professionals and team members. * Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Ability to work in a hybrid setting, with a mix of remote and in-office work, and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. * Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy and integrity in data entry and record management. * Ability to learn and adapt to new software systems and processes, with a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities. **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits:** At blithequark, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our team members.
