Experienced Associate Designer – Product Design and Development for Target’s Private Label Brands (Work From Home, $25-$35/Hour)

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Associate Designer to join our Product Design and Development team for Target's private label brands. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality products that meet our brand's standards and exceed customer expectations. You will work closely with our design team, vendors, and stakeholders to bring new and exciting products to market. Key Responsibilities • Design and develop product lines for Target's private label brands, including clothing, home goods, beauty, and basics. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, merchandising, and sourcing, to ensure product lines meet brand standards and customer needs. • Develop and maintain product design guidelines, including color palettes, typography, and visual identity. • Work with vendors and suppliers to ensure high-quality products are manufactured and delivered on time. • Conduct market research and trend analysis to stay up-to-date on industry trends and customer preferences. • Develop and maintain product lines that meet brand standards, including product specifications, packaging, and labeling. • Collaborate with the design team to develop and maintain brand consistency across all product lines. • Develop and maintain product lines that meet customer needs and preferences. • Work with the design team to develop and maintain product lines that meet brand standards and customer expectations. Essential Qualifications • Four-year degree in Design, Fine Arts, or related field, or equivalent experience. • 1+ years of experience in product design and development, preferably in the retail industry. • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. • Experience in 2D and 3D design software, including SketchUp and Autodesk. • Experience in creating artwork, illustrations, and graphics for print and digital media. • Experience in creating color palettes, typography, and visual identity guidelines. • Experience in working with vendors and suppliers to ensure high-quality products are manufactured and delivered on time. • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines. Preferred Qualifications • Master's degree in Design, Fine Arts, or related field. • Experience in product design and development for a retail company. • Experience in working with 3D modeling software, including Blender and Maya. • Experience in creating product specifications, packaging, and labeling guidelines. • Experience in conducting market research and trend analysis. • Experience in working with design teams to develop and maintain brand consistency across all product lines.
