Digital Archivist - Rights & Permissions Assistant
I am working on a memoir and seeking an assistant to assist in securing rights of release for up to 824 photos. The role involves researching and reaching out to individuals via social media, verifying ownership of content, and tracking permissions using AirTable.
Key Responsibilities:
•Utilize Instagram and Facebook (possibly LinkedIn) to locate and contact individuals whose content (photos) I would like to include in the memoir to correctly tell the story.
•Obtain email addresses or other contact details for submission of the rights requests.
•Verify photo ownership to consolidate multiple requests when possible.
•Complete and submit permission request forms, ensuring accuracy.
•Update and maintain records in AirTable, tracking request statuses and attaching request forms.
Qualifications & Skills:
•Fluent in English
•Experience with AirTable (essential).
•Strong communication skills (written and professional).
•Highly organized and efficient with time management.
•Proficient in using social media (Instagram & Facebook) for research and outreach.
•Detail-oriented in verifying content ownership and organizing submissions.
Project Goal & Timeline:
•Process requests for content usage rights for up to 824 photos within 1 week.
