Key Responsibilities

Core Operational Duties

  • Track inbound and outbound truck routes with precision, using advanced monitoring software, GPS feeds, and manual logs to capture real‑time status updates.
  • Coordinate the flow of vehicle information across multiple stakeholder groups, ensuring that managers, dispatchers, and dock personnel have accurate, up‑to‑date data at every decision point.
  • Plan and execute offload, onload, and departure schedules that align with peak demand periods, warehouse capacity, and safety protocols, minimizing dwell time and maximizing throughput.
  • Communicate verbally and in writing under time‑sensitive conditions, delivering concise instructions to drivers and floor staff while maintaining calm in a noisy, high‑energy environment.
  • Monitor safety compliance by adhering to FedEx’s safety standards, conducting routine checks, and reporting any deviations or incidents promptly.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Proficiency with office technology, including typing, operating a CRT or modern workstation, copier, radio, data‑communication tools, and personal computers.
  • Strong human‑relations and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to convey information quickly and accurately in a high‑noise, fast‑paced setting, ensuring that all parties receive clear directions.
  • Physical capability to lift 50 lb and maneuver heavier packages with appropriate equipment or assistance, adhering to safe lifting practices.
