[Remote] PACS Support Analyst (Remote, Contract)

Our client, a prominent healthcare provider, is seeking a PACS Support Analyst who will be responsible for providing system support to radiology end-users and troubleshooting system issues related to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
- Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to radiology users, including radiology staff, radiologists, physicians and other key stakeholders, ensuring seamless system functionality.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve PACS system issues, ensuring minimal disruption to workflow and patient care.
- Address and resolve Level 1 and Level 2 support requests.
- Document support activities and troubleshooting steps in the ticketing system, ensuring accurate records of issues, solutions, and follow-up actions.
- Work closely with internal IT teams and vendors to escalate and resolve more complex issues that require higher-level expertise.
- Provide end-user training and guidance on system usage, best practices, and troubleshooting common issues.
- Collaborate with Radiology leadership and other departments to ensure system integration and optimization for clinical and operational needs.
- Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and proactively recommend improvements.
- Assist in system upgrades, implementations, and configuration changes as needed.
- Stay current on updates, patches, and enhancements to PACS systems, ensuring timely implementation and testing.
- Skills
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills with a deep understanding of PACS and medical imaging system workflows.
- Experience with eRAD PACS system.
- Experience with system integration, networking, and database management.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with end-users and IT teams effectively.
- Ability to provide clear documentation of technical issues and resolutions.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to assist non-technical users in understanding complex issues.
- Ability to provide training and hands-on support during and after system implementations.
- Ability to work independently and remotely while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with HL7, DICOM, and other healthcare communication standards.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare IT security best practices.
- Experience working with EXA and Infinitt PACS systems is a plus, but not a must.
- Education Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
