Museum Attendant, University Archives

About the Department Purpose of Position: To work with museum exhibits and collections and to provide public access to campus museums. Position Duties Duties and Responsibilities: Work with and organize existing museum exhibits and collections; create new exhibits; organize and attend museum events, meetings, and lectures; provide public access to visitors and lead tours; assist with clerical duties of campus museums; maintain regular open hours for campus museums; other duties as assigned such as Public History Lab clean up and coordinating public history and museum work with community partners. Minimum Qualifications Job Qualifications: Public History & Museum Studies minor or History major preferred. Must be able to attend scheduled lectures and meetings as assigned. Must show an interest in museum exhibits and a pleasant attitude toward greeting museum guests. Punctuality and dependability is critical. Must be able to work independently. Available hours may be adjusted as needed for changes in exhibit schedules.
