[Remote] Freelance Art Director (Global Gaming Account)

Ayzenberg Group is a leading advertising and media company based in Pasadena, CA, passionate about creativity and innovation in the gaming industry. They are seeking a Freelance Art Director to ideate and create engaging video and static assets for social media channels, collaborating closely with a gaming-focused creative team.
Responsibilities
• Cast a vision for a creative concept; understanding how it fits in the brand’s social ecosystem while producing that asset from concept to completion.
• You will use Photoshop, Premiere/After Effects to bring creative and strategic video concepts to life across Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok and more.
• Help create video and static assets for other channels like Instagram Reels, Stories, Twitter and TikTok that range from lo-fi meme to shortform cutdown.
• Stay connected to gaming and all the latest things going on in the industry, designing creative ideas fosters built for likes/shares/ engagement with fans based on what they are excited about now, and what’s coming next with both the brand and games.
• Be a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment but can also independently focus and own a project on your own.
• Have a strong sense of accountability & ownership and can help creatively drive a project forward with solutions.
• Have the ability to manage multiple, simultaneous projects amidst strict deadlines and (sometimes) stressful situations with strong communication and transparency.
• Partner with Creative Directors to ensure that all creative is on brand and compelling as possible.
• Ensure content is optimized for all social channels and all devices.
Skills
• 4+ years of experience creating digital content and social assets for a recognizable brand or channel (1+ at an advertising/marketing/entertainment agency). Must have gaming client experience.
• General understanding of how to write up a concept for a social pitch deck.
• High proficiency in creative industry tools such as After Effects, Photoshop, Premier, etc. and the ability to quickly turn an idea into a video, GIF, motion or static asset.
• A sense of humor and knowledge of internet culture that can be brought into your creative in a way that makes sense for the brand.
• A sense of intentional design: knowing when to go intentionally lo-fi vs when to go more polished.
• An understanding that what creatively works on a brand social channel is more nuanced and different than what works on a fan social channel.
• The ability to bring brand style through to exciting concepts and assets.
• A passion for building compelling creative for social media.
• A passion for gaming.
• Technical knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, what works, and how to design for greatest impact.
• Exceptional written and communication skills.
• Desire to learn, grow, teach and contribute in a fast-paced, creative environment.
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
• Proven time management and organizational skills.
• Experience juggling multiple projects simultaneously.
