Our mission is simple yet powerful: to empower professionals in law, tax, accounting, and journalism with the data, technology, and expertise they need to make the world more transparent, just, and informed. When you join our team, you become part of a purpose‑driven organization that helps uphold the rule of law, facilitates commerce, and protects the public’s right to accurate information.

The Role: Senior Business Applications Consultant – Court Management Solutions (Hybrid Remote)

We are looking for an experienced, self‑motivated Senior Business Applications Consultant who will serve as the go‑to product expert for our C‑Track court management platform. In this role you will partner closely with Engagement Managers, Solutions Engineers, and other specialists to deliver end‑to‑end implementations for government and judicial clients. Your expertise will shape how courts modernize case processing, improve data integrity, and enable seamless digital experiences for judges, clerks, and the public.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Expertise: Act as the primary authority on C‑Track functionality, advocating a product‑first mindset with both internal teams and client stakeholders.
  • Requirements Gathering & Business Analysis: Lead workshops, review existing documentation, map business needs to functional specifications, and produce detailed business process models.
  • Solution Design & Configuration: Translate requirements into system configurations, ensuring optimal use of C‑Track features while adhering to best‑practice standards.
  • Data Migration & Mapping: Design, execute, and validate data migration strategies between legacy court systems and C‑Track, guaranteeing data quality and compliance.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance Collaboration: Develop client‑specific test plans, coordinate with QA teams, and lead defect triage to assure successful go‑live deliveries.
  • Client Training & Enablement: Deliver engaging, hands‑on training sessions for end‑users and administrators, producing clear documentation and job‑aids.
  • Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Coach junior Business Applications Consultants, fostering a culture of continuous learning and skill development.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline implementation methodologies, creating reusable assets that reduce time‑to‑value for future projects.
  • Configuration Review Sessions: Conduct cross‑team reviews to verify that configured solutions align with client expectations and regulatory requirements.
  • Travel & On‑Site Support: Participate in client site visits (approximately 5‑20% travel) for workshops, training, and go‑live support, with flexibility for remote engagements.

Essential Qualifications – What You Must Bring

  • 4‑6 years of hands‑on experience in business applications consulting, preferably within the legal, governmental, or judicial domain.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in at least one major enterprise application platform (e.g., C‑Track, PowerApps, ServiceNow).
  • Strong analytical capabilities, with a proven track record of translating complex requirements into actionable system designs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in data‑migration techniques, including data profiling, mapping, cleansing, and validation.
  • Experience conducting functional and user‑acceptance testing, developing test scripts, and managing defect resolution.
  • Self‑directed learning mindset with the ability to quickly master new software functionalities and industry regulations.
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile delivery methodologies.
  • Strong relationship‑building skills to thrive in a collaborative, remote‑first environment.

Preferred Qualifications – Bonus Skills That Set You Apart

  • Prior exposure to judicial or court management processes, including case lifecycle, docket management, and public access portals.
  • Certifications such as PMP, Scrum Master, or specific product certifications for C‑Track or related platforms.
  • Experience with integration tools (e.g., REST APIs, SOAP, middleware) to connect C‑Track with external systems.
  • Knowledge of data‑privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) as they pertain to judicial information.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and SaaS deployment models.

Core Skills & Competencies for Success

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the bigger picture while managing detailed implementation tasks.
  • Problem Solving: Proactive identification of risks and quick formulation of mitigation strategies.
  • Leadership: Guidance of cross‑functional teams through ambiguous situations and tight timelines.
  • Customer‑Centricity: Passion for delivering value that exceeds client expectations and drives long‑term satisfaction.
  • Adaptability: Comfort with evolving requirements, shifting priorities, and hybrid work configurations.
  • Technical Literacy: Comfort navigating databases, data schemas, and configuration tools.
