Position Overview – Business Objects Data Coaching Specialist (Full‑Time, Remote)
We are urgently seeking a dynamic, experienced Business Objects Data Coach who will serve as the subject‑matter authority for our client services team and act as the primary conduit between complex data analytics solutions and end‑users across the healthcare fraud landscape. This fully remote role empowers you to work from anywhere while partnering closely with our Alexandria, VA headquarters and a national network of stakeholders.
As a Data Coach, you will mentor, train, and empower analysts, auditors, and investigators to maximize the value of Business Objects, SAS, and other Business Intelligence (BI) tools. You will translate intricate technical concepts into clear, actionable insights that drive decision‑making, compliance, and ultimately protect taxpayer dollars.
Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Do Every Day
- Technical Support & Analytics Guidance: Provide on‑demand expertise to the QSSI client services team, ensuring that data queries, dashboards, and reports are accurate, timely, and aligned with project goals.
 - Help Desk Collaboration: Partner with the internal help desk to resolve technical and data‑related questions from end‑users, escalations, and troubleshooting issues related to Business Objects, SAS, and related platforms.
 - Stakeholder Relationship Building: Foster strong, productive relationships with colleagues, managers, customers, and external partners to promote collaboration, consensus, and shared ownership of outcomes.
 - System Enhancement Advocacy: Champion user needs by recommending enhancements, policy changes, and procedural refinements that improve system performance and user satisfaction.
 - Data Mining & Reporting: Conduct sophisticated data mining, trend analysis, and reporting using Business Objects, SAS, and other BI tools to surface fraud patterns, anomalies, and emerging schemes.
 - Thought Leadership & Presentation: Develop and deliver live and virtual presentations on subject‑matter topics to internal teams, external customers, conferences, and trade shows.
 - Training Strategy Development: Design, execute, and continuously improve a comprehensive end‑user training strategy, including curriculum design, instructor guides, video tutorials, interactive e‑learning modules, and evaluation metrics.
 - Train‑the‑Trainer & End‑User Sessions: Lead both on‑site and remote training sessions, sharing expertise with trainers and end‑users to build lasting competency.
 - Continuous Improvement: Gather user feedback, monitor industry trends, and apply best practices to enhance training materials, support processes, and overall program effectiveness.
 - Project Metrics & Reporting: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as training completion rates, support ticket resolution times, and analytics adoption metrics.
 - Compliance & Security Stewardship: Apply rigorous discretion and adherence to company policies, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive healthcare data.
 
Essential Qualifications – What You Must Bring
- Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Information Technology, Public Health, or a closely related discipline.
 - Experience: At least 6+ years of recent, hands‑on experience working with Medicare and/or Medicaid Part A, Part B, and DME claims, including deep familiarity with coding, reimbursement procedures, service and coverage policies, and eligibility verification.
 - Technical Proficiency: Advanced skill set in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and proven expertise with Business Intelligence platforms such as Business Objects, SAS, MicroStrategy, Cognos, or similar tools.
 - Data Analytics Expertise: Demonstrated ability to apply statistical techniques – modeling, aggregation, trend analysis, random sampling, outlier detection – to large‑scale healthcare datasets.
 - Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of CMS Integrated Data Repository (IDR) and familiarity with Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC), Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC), Zone Program Integrity Contractor (ZPIC), Program Safeguard Contractor (PSC), and Medicare Drug Integrity Contractor (MEDIC) processes.
 - Communication Mastery: Exceptional written and oral presentation skills; ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear language for diverse audiences, from seasoned auditors to novice end‑users.
 - Training Experience: Prior experience designing and delivering classroom‑based or virtual training sessions is highly desirable.
 - Problem‑Solving Acumen: Proven track record of analyzing high‑volume data sets, identifying fraud patterns, and delivering actionable recommendations under tight, mission‑critical deadlines.
