About the Role: Family Coach - Human Services Case Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and empathetic Family Coach - Human Services Case Manager to join our team in Hillsboro, OR. As a key member of our Office of Self Sufficiency, you will play a vital role in providing culturally sensitive services to families and individuals in need. Your expertise will help us empower people to achieve independence, health, and safety, and your passion for making a difference will inspire others to do the same.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist families in becoming independent, healthy, and safe through ongoing coaching, collaboration, and coordination
- Conduct interviews to determine family goals and the need for program services and benefits
- Determine eligibility for each family and maintain up-to-date information to provide case payments, food stamps, domestic violence assistance, childcare, and other related programs
- Identify short-term and long-range career and life goals with individuals and create plans to achieve self-sufficiency
- Collaborate with various community agencies to provide comprehensive support services
- Maintain accurate records and track progress using computer entry and tracking systems
Essential Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in a Behavioral Science, Social Science, or a closely related field; OR
- A Bachelor's degree in any field and one year of human services related experience; OR
- An Associate's degree in a Behavioral Science, Social Science, or a closely related field AND two years of human services related experience; OR
- Three years of human services related experience
- Ability to initiate and maintain relationships, facilitate and support families, and communicate effectively with diverse populations
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of individual and family contact, collaboration with community agencies, and computer entry and tracking
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual language skills (all languages welcomed and utilized to better serve our Oregonians)
- Experience working with diverse populations, including those with disabilities, substance abuse issues, and cultural competencies
- Knowledge of community resources and services, including healthcare, education, and employment opportunities
- Strong assessment and planning skills, with the ability to identify short-term and long-range goals and create effective plans

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $3,482 - $5,054 per month, commensurate with experience. In addition, you will be eligible for a range of benefits, including:
