**Experienced Temporary MTSS and Language Development Learning Facilitator – Collaborative Education and Student Support Specialist**

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Temporary MTSS and Language Development Learning Facilitator to join our team at the Kennewick School District. Our district is dedicated to recruiting and retaining talented educators who share our vision and are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of our students. **Job Summary** As a Temporary MTSS and Language Development Learning Facilitator, you will work collaboratively with classroom teachers, intervention teams, and other support staff to provide targeted instructional support to students who require additional assistance. Your primary responsibilities will include: * Providing supplementary instructional support to at-risk students in grades K-5 * Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with staff members, students, and parents * Collaborating with grade teams and administration to identify students who require LAP identification and updating regularly * Working with classroom teachers and intervention teams to place students in intervention groups * Preparing materials and lessons for paraprofessionals who provide math intervention support * Supervising paraeducators assigned to work with small groups * Providing an effective program of instruction in accordance with curriculum and consistent with physical limitations of the location provided and needs and capabilities of individual or student groups involved * Assisting in the selection of supplemental instructional materials with the approval of the building Principal * Generating monthly Time and Effort reports and other documents for all LAP paraeducators and gathering signatures monthly * Supporting staff and students as the building assessment coordinator * Attending all district trainings pertaining to the assessment coordinator position and providing corresponding training to all staff, as applicable * Maintaining all records according to specified timelines and LAP program requirements * Intervening in potential conflicts utilizing restorative practices for the purpose of diffusing confrontations, minimizing disruptions, and promoting student success * Supporting teachers in the implementation of successful student interventions plans * Encouraging parent involvement, participating in parent/teacher conferences, and creating and maintaining good relationships with parents * Preparing progress reports and report cards for qualified students * Attending and participating in faculty and team meetings as scheduled * Performing other duties as assigned **Essential Qualifications** * Washington State Teacher's Certificate appropriate for high school * Endorsement in Secondary Ed (Math, English, Science) * EL/ESL or bilingual education endorsement * Satisfactory evaluations * Ability to work collaboratively with staff members, students, and parents * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to provide targeted instructional support to at-risk students * Familiarity with MTSS and language development principles * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances **Preferred Qualifications** * Evidence of positively working with team members, classroom teachers, paraeducators, and all other school staff * Evidence of successful experience collaborating with staff to meet the varied needs of students in an MTSS system * Demonstrated taking initiative and working collaboratively with others * Experience with math intervention curriculum and instructional strategies * Experience with small group remedial math instruction * Experience collecting and analyzing assessment data for math intervention programs and implementation of instruction to meet identified needs * Evidence of successful experience of planning for and implementation of elementary math program and classroom instruction * Ability to supervise, train, and evaluate paraeducators in program curricula, instructional strategies, and small group classroom management * Evidence of recent successful experience working with at-risk students, including multi-language learners, migrant students, and children in poverty * Experience facilitating grade level data meetings * Willingness to participate in parent and instructional meetings beyond the normal school day * Experience in administering district and statewide assessments, including but not limited to MAP, Star Math and/or Reading, and SBA * Working knowledge of PowerSchool, Microsoft Office Suite, and other computer applications * Punctual and consistent attendance * Ability to work with interruptions while balancing daily responsibilities * Successful experience working with students who need additional support * Experience assisting teachers with the development of lesson plans to improve student achievement * A thorough understanding of district and state assessments and how to interpret data * Ability to communicate well with students, staff, and parents, both oral and written * Evidence of motivating and instructing students of all ability levels * Enthusiastic and displays an overall optimism toward teaching and student learning * Flexible in learning new concepts, cooperates with others, and adapts to a variety of assignments and conditions * Current participant and a regular lead contributor to a district-level committee * Current building leader and lead contributor to building instructional initiatives * Provide information about student language development on IEP teams * Support school psychologists with information about student language development * Experience in co-teaching, co-planning, and/or peer coaching * Demonstrated knowledge of effective teaching strategies for creating a language-rich, rigorous classroom environment * Demonstrated ability to utilize technology to support and enhance instruction and learning * Successful experience working with Multilingual Learners (MLs) as well as students with special needs * Knowledge with planning and delivering instruction around various forms of data: academic, behavior, demographic, and attendance * Familiarity with Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
