Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Valet Attendant to join our team at Disney's Contemporary Resort. As a Valet Attendant, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to our guests, ensuring their vehicles are parked and retrieved in a prompt and safe manner. Key Responsibilities

As a Valet Attendant, you'll be responsible for:
  • Maintaining a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients.
  • Using salutation of the day and welcoming guests to the location, while practicing proper Towne Park phone etiquette.
  • Parking and retrieving vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously, and assisting guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed.
  • Assisting guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries, and providing information about outlets, meeting rooms, and/or amenities of the facility.
  • Explaining parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival, and consistently completing and maintaining all ticket information, including key tags, guest folios, and claim checks.
  • Calculating and collecting revenue for vehicles when needed, and consistently completing location on all key tags after parking vehicles.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful as a Valet Attendant, you'll need:
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and be able to pass a criminal background and drug screen.
  • One (1) month related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, we prefer candidates with:
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Ability to read and write standard English language, and to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission and perform parallel parking.

Skills and Competencies

To succeed as a Valet Attendant, you'll need:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
