Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled 340B Contract Pharmacy Technician Specialist to join our team. As a 340B Contract Pharmacy Technician Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with the 340B pharmacy contract and supporting the daily operations of our entity-owned retail pharmacies and contract pharmacies. This is a 100% remote opportunity, offering you the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home and manage your schedule effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Audit and verify prescriptions filled during daily operations to ensure compliance with the 340B pharmacy contract
  • Work independently to support the Mercy Ministry in contract pharmacy compliance related to 340B
  • Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards
  • Apply regulations to operations to maintain a compliant program
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to manipulate data, build pivot tables, formulas, v-lookup, and other functions to support auditing and compliance efforts
  • Demonstrate mastery of all pharmacy prescription adjudication, copay assistance, financial assistance, Point of Sale, ordering, and inventory management as appropriate for the job role
  • Develop and maintain advanced knowledge and use of all software, including third-party contract pharmacy software, EHR, Credentialing Software, Apexus Prime Vendor, and HRSA OPAIS

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent exam
  • Current State Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
  • 1 year of relevant pharmacy experience required, with retail pharmacy experience preferred
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) within 1 year of hire
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to speak in small groups
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in utilizing electronic health records, electronic communication applications, and other pharmacy information software
