About the Position

This is a remote, contract position (1099) with a competitive hourly rate of $40-$50, commensurate with experience. As a mid-senior level role, we are looking for individuals with a strong background in math education and experience in tutoring students for the SAT or ACT exams. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction, monitoring student progress, and providing regular feedback to parents and/or guardians.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized lessons for the Math Section of either/both the SAT or the ACT exams to students in grades 10-12
• Identify individual learning styles and adapt instruction accordingly to ensure each student receives the best possible support
• Develop and implement strategies for improving students' test scores, using a variety of teaching methods and materials
• Provide guidance and mentorship to students to achieve their academic goals, including helping them to develop a growth mindset and build confidence in their math abilities
• Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and/or guardians, using data and assessment results to inform instruction
• Attend training and development sessions to enhance skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in math education and test preparation

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as math, education, or a related subject
• Demonstrable expertise in the Math Section of either/both the SAT or ACT exam, with experience in tutoring students for these exams
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to individual learning styles, using a range of strategies and techniques to support student learning
• A passion for education and a desire to help students succeed, with a commitment to providing high-quality instruction and support

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:

• Experience in planning and delivering SAT or ACT Math lessons online, with a strong understanding of how to use technology to support student learning
