Job Overview

In this role, you will be working from the comfort of your own home, utilizing your skills and expertise to provide exceptional support to our patients and customers. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for accurately reading, interpreting, and entering prescriptions into our computer system, including calculating dosages, assigning directions, and accepting payment from patients. You will also be communicating with physician offices and insurance companies to ensure the accuracy of our patients' specialty medication orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately read, interpret, and enter prescriptions into the computer system, including calculating dosages and assigning directions
  • Accept payment from patients and process insurance claims in a timely manner
  • Communicate with physician offices and insurance companies to ensure the accuracy of our patients' specialty medication orders
  • Answer patient calls to organize and handle new patient medication orders and reorders, including checking and re-verifying benefits
  • Work collaboratively with our team to provide exceptional customer service and support

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as strong data entry skills. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and demonstrating empathetic, genuine care for our patients and customers.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Idaho Pharmacy Technician License (or proof of application prior to starting)
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification required within 2 years of hire
  • 6 months of experience working in a pharmacy
  • 6 months of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications
  • 6 months of computer keyboarding skills and proficiency

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with insurance/healthcare background
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • Prescription entry skills and data entry experience
  • Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent
