Job Overview
As a Remote Chat Consultant at blithequark, you will be the primary point of contact for our customers, handling incoming sales and customer service-related chats, emails, and phone calls. Key Responsibilities
- Handle incoming sales and customer service-related chats, emails, and phone calls, focusing on solving customer problems on the first attempt
- Utilize salesmanship to maximize sales opportunities, meet sales goals, and expectations, while suggesting products and providing lighting and home décor solutions that benefit both the company and the customer
- Demonstrate empathy and understanding when handling customer concerns, presenting blithequark in a positive light at all times
- Prevent customer returns and ensure customer retention through reasonable negotiations, providing solutions that benefit both the company and the customer
- Contact customers via phone when possible to resolve inquiries and issues in a timely manner, and provide proactive follow-up to all customer inquiries via phone or email
- Document a complete summary of customer inquiries, actions taken, and expectations set forth on the respective order, maintaining high standards of quality and service
- Partner with management on escalated customer and product issues, identifying trends and communicating them to management in measurable terms
- Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating self-confidence and a desire to go the extra mile to create a positive customer experience every time
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service, administrative, or retail background, with call center experience being a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate details to customers in a professional and calm manner
- Computer literate, with the ability to navigate through programs and windows, and excellent typing and data entry skills
- Able to multi-task, talk on the phone, and type notes at the same time, with effective problem-solving skills
- Must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays, with regular job attendance required in accordance with a regular schedule established for the position by the supervisor
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a remote or home-based customer service role, with a proven track record of success
- Knowledge of home décor and lighting solutions, with the ability to provide expert advice and guidance to customers
- Experience with sales and customer service software, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and communicate them to management in measurable terms
