Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for:
  • Fielding and resolving clinical correspondence raised from stores, addressing suitable patient complaints that are clinical in nature.
  • Overseeing stage one and stage two of the Means approach for raised clinical quality issues.
  • Serving as the clinical expert for Retail, responsible for providing guidance and support to store teams.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with existing healthcare systems as coordinated by the RHD.
  • Ensuring the execution of Mark Walgreens Health and Wellness programs and corporate strategic initiatives through targeted store visits and training of Region Supervisors.
  • Collaborating with the Chief Retail and Pharmacy Activities to develop and implement pharmacy improvement plans and measure their effectiveness.
  • Providing information and insights to the Regional Healthcare Director on pharmacy health and wellness initiatives and successes.
  • Participating in events that enhance local health and wellness connections.

Business Execution and Management

As a Clinical Support Specialist, you will work closely with the Chief Retail and Pharmacy Activities to:
  • Review region healthcare financials and KPIs to inform business planning and decision-making.
  • Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Retail and Pharmacy Activities to develop and implement pharmacy improvement plans and measure their effectiveness.

Business Planning and Development

As a Clinical Support Specialist, you will contribute to business planning and development by:
  • Providing input to the Chief Pharmacy and Retail Procedure on key needs to inform district plans.
  • Providing feedback to the DPR on healthcare financials and KPIs to inform business planning and decision-making.

Individuals and Performance Management

As a Clinical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for:
  • Developing, maintaining, and overseeing relationships with local schools, universities, and professional associations.
  • Developing and implementing the pharmacy chief ability methodology and pipeline, identifying and developing high-potential pharmacy directors, and overseeing Execution Improvement Plans for pharmacists.
  • Providing input to the Chief Pharmacy and Retail Procedure on district supervisor performance reviews.
  • Ensuring compliance with all corporate policies, relevant business regulations, and maintaining a fair and respectful work environment.

Preparation and Self-Improvement

As a Clinical Support Specialist, you will:
  • Participate in training and support training efforts as necessary.
  • Hold monthly touchpoints with district directors on STARS reports.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical quality-related events, including training, preparation, and goal-setting.
  • Hold regular touchpoints and development discussions with Health Results pharmacists and Pharmacy Scheduler.
  • Be responsible for pharmacist scheduling, finance management, and cost control.

Requirements and Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., pharmacy, healthcare administration, business).
  • Experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy operations and healthcare regulations.
  • Experience with business planning and development.
  • Strong analytical and business acumen skills.
