Job Summary
We're looking for an experienced Accounting Coordinator and Bookkeeper to oversee client relationships, manage financials, and support our team of Bookkeepers. As an Accounting Coordinator and Bookkeeper, you will be the main point of contact for clients, ensuring they receive exceptional service and support. You will work closely with our Bookkeepers to guarantee accurate financial data and provide guidance on financial matters.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee client relationships, serving as the main point of contact and ensuring exceptional service and support
• Support Bookkeepers working on client accounts, answering questions, and liaising between them and clients as needed
• Manage payroll, pay bills, and perform year-end tasks, such as financial reviews, 1099 processing, and closing the books
• Review and produce financial statements, including P&L statements and Balance Sheets
• Sync data across multiple software applications to ensure accuracy and perform historical clean-up projects as needed
• Communicate effectively with clients and teammates via email, phone, video conference, and text
• Manage requests in a timely manner and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
Essential Qualifications:
• 4+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Passionate about financials and committed to pursuing financial clarity
• Extreme organization and strong decision-making skills
• Fast learner and open to new ideas
• Clear, concise, and kind communication skills through all mediums
• Understanding of business models and comfortable working with a broad range of software applications
• Ability to work from home 30+ hours/week and be responsive to clients and teammates Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm EST
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous remote work experience
• Knowledge of QuickBooks Online
• Full-charge bookkeeping experience with multiple clients
• Value flexibility and have a strong desire to work from home
