Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Remote UX Design Lead to join our team and play a key role in shaping the user experience of our digital products. As a UX design lead, you will be responsible for leading the design of innovative and customer-centric experiences that drive business growth and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and marketing, to develop and implement design solutions that meet business objectives and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business, customer, and product stakeholders to develop product roadmaps and drive prioritization decisions
  • Conduct user research and testing to inform design decisions and ensure that products meet customer needs and expectations
  • Lead design thinking exercises and workshops to foster collaborative thinking and problem-solving across teams
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer needs and behaviors, and use this knowledge to inform design decisions
  • Drive experience strategy and innovation through oversight of the creation of business, consumer, and associate product experiences
  • Think broadly and methodically about people using our products, a strong design system, and end-to-end experiences
  • Tackle complex problems by understanding project needs and measures of success
  • Lead a high-performing design team to support the growing demands of the business, developing exceptional talent by coaching, mentoring, and guiding a team of designers
  • Travel to other Sam's Club offices to foster collaboration (up to 20% travel)

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in UX design, with a portfolio that demonstrates your ability to design products that meet both business requirements and customer needs. You will also need to have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in UX design, with a focus on e-commerce and digital product development
  • Experience leading design teams and mentoring junior designers
  • Strong understanding of customer-centered design methods and agile development methodologies
  • Experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate design concepts and solutions to stakeholders at all levels
