About the Role: Content Moderator

We are seeking experienced Content Moderators to review and moderate user-generated stories on the Wattpad platform. As a Content Moderator, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our community guidelines are upheld and that our users have a safe and enjoyable experience on our platform. You will review and investigate written long-form content that violates our Community Guidelines, and you must be detail-oriented, visual, and self-motivated to succeed in this role.

Due to the sensitive and toxic content you may encounter, having a strong wellness and resilience regime is crucial. You will be working independently in a remote setting, and you must be able to demonstrate your ability to work autonomously and manage your time effectively. Past moderation experience is required, and you must have a strong aptitude for technology and be able to learn our systems and tools quickly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and moderate user-generated stories on the Wattpad platform to ensure compliance with our Community Guidelines
• Investigate and resolve complex content moderation issues in a fair and impartial manner
• Work independently in a remote setting and manage your time effectively to meet productivity and quality standards
• Collaborate with other team members to share knowledge, best practices, and feedback to improve our content moderation processes
• Stay up-to-date with our Community Guidelines, policies, and procedures, and apply this knowledge to make informed decisions

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• 1-2 years of work experience in content moderation or content review, with a proven track record of making sound judgments and decisions
• Demonstrated independent working ability, with the ability to manage your time effectively and work autonomously in a remote setting
• Experience in settings requiring resiliency and wellness plans, with a strong ability to manage stress and maintain your well-being
• Aptitude for technology, with the ability to learn our systems and tools quickly and apply this knowledge to make informed decisions
