Job Summary

In this challenging and rewarding role, you will work closely with a team of nine lawyers in the WIM Tasks Legitimate group to provide support for key operational elements of the WIM organizations. Your expertise and experience will be essential in driving success and delivering high-quality results. As a Senior Paralegal, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including drafting and reviewing client-facing reports and disclosures, providing significant review of complex administrative reports and forms, and arranging non-disclosure agreements, account control agreements, and other client-facing documents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer support to the WIM Tasks Lawful group, requiring a high level of technical, written, and oral communication and organizational skills
  • Draft and review client-facing reports and disclosures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Provide significant review of complex administrative reports and forms, with minimal direction from a lawyer
  • Arrange non-disclosure agreements, account control agreements, and other client-facing documents, ensuring timely and efficient completion
  • Produce clear and concise written materials that can be submitted to internal business clients with minimal modification or review by a lawyer
  • Work directly with business clients, fostering a understanding of specialty unit needs and developing plans to resolve issues
  • Develop relationships with specialty units and proactively participate in key initiatives, identifying and resolving issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Identify specific and broad underlying issues in subject matter, working independently on highly complex projects without direct supervision
  • Lead a team to meet project, goal plan, and client needs, coordinating adjustments to design as needed
  • Collaborate with lawyers on special requests or highly complex projects, ensuring seamless delivery of high-quality results

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong foundation in paralegal experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education. Additionally, you will need to have excellent technical, written, and oral communication skills, as well as strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently, proactively, creatively, and innovatively, while exercising good judgment
  • Solid PowerPoint, Adobe, Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and SharePoint skills/capability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with contract transaction, especially non-disclosure agreements
  • Experience assisting lawyers in the group with the review of requests for proposals (RFPs), offshoring reviews, and other standard business processes documents
  • Experience with wealth and investment management products and services (e.g., money market funds, investment advisory accounts, trust accounts, etc.)
  • Related experience working in an in-house legal office
  • Paralegal certification may be required in certain states
