As we continue to evolve and expand our services, we're seeking talented individuals like you to help shape our company's future and deliver exceptional care and service to our customers. **The Opportunity** As a Customer Service Representative I at blithequark, you will be part of a remote team that is passionate about making a difference in the lives of students and families. This is a full-time temporary position, scheduled for 45 to 90 days of employment, with the possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent role. You will have the opportunity to work on high-volume outbound and inbound call campaigns, utilizing approved call scripts and compliance guidelines to provide consistent high-quality service to customers. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** As a Customer Service Representative I, you will be responsible for: * Participating in high-volume outbound and inbound call campaigns based on assigned call lists * Adhering to approved call scripts and compliance guidelines * Providing consistent high-quality service to customers * Responding to customer questions while ensuring the highest standards of customer service * Utilizing software, scripts, and tools appropriately * Appropriately documenting all encounters in clear and concise online logs * Employing empathic support to customers * Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities** To succeed in this role, you will need: * Good customer service skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Professional phone voice and etiquette * Ability to follow instructions and scripts * Skilled in active listening * Proficient with computers, and good typing skills * Strong time management and decision-making skills * Knowledge of the FAFSA * Knowledge of college financial aid and admissions processes **Qualifications** To be considered for this role, you must: * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent * Have four to six months of customer service experience in a call center environment * Be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, experience working in a college financial aid office or a college administrative office would be beneficial. Additionally, proficiency in multiple software systems and tools would be an asset. **Work Environment** As a remote employee, you will have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home. Our office work environment is climate-controlled, with no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
