Key Responsibilities

In this critical role, you will develop and execute data-driven retention initiatives, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Business Intelligence, Hardware, and Data Science. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing audience-specific messaging and communication strategies across multiple channels such as email, push notifications, in-app messaging, and SMS to drive device, subscription, and user retention.
  • Collaborating with various teams to understand product usage, customer behaviors, and pain points impacting retention, leveraging this insight to propose communications that improve the blithequark customer experience.
  • Testing, tracking, and measuring the impact of retention initiatives on key metrics like device health, subscription renewals, and user engagement, and communicating campaign performance and recommendations to leadership.
  • Staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in customer retention to continuously improve blithequark's approach and contribute to the development of our retention strategies.

A Day in the Life

Each day as a Product Manager at blithequark brings new challenges and opportunities to impact our customers and drive retention. Your day might start with reviewing customer feedback and product usage data to identify areas of friction, followed by collaboration with the product team to develop targeted campaigns to reengage lapsed users. You could then present retention metrics and campaign results to leadership, while planning for upcoming product launches that require comprehensive retention strategies across multiple touchpoints. The variety of projects and the ability to directly influence customer loyalty make this role both exciting and rewarding.

About the Customer Experience & Engagement Team

Basic Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development, or technology, with a proven track record of driving retention and customer engagement strategies.
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Experience in owning and driving roadmap strategy and definition, with a strong understanding of end-to-end product delivery and the tradeoffs involved in feature delivery.
  • Previous experience as a product manager or owner, with a focus on technology products and a deep understanding of customer needs and preferences.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience in influencing senior leadership through data-driven insights, with the ability to communicate complex ideas and strategies effectively.
  • Experience working across functional teams and with senior stakeholders, with a proven ability to build strong relationships and collaborate towards common goals.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

At blithequark, we offer a competitive compensation package that reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation, as well as a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
