Job Overview and Responsibilities

In this role, you will be an integral part of our dedicated team at the delivery station, which is the last stop before we deliver packages to our customers. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving and preparing inventory for delivery, using technology to sort, scan, and prepare orders, and ensuring that all packages are properly loaded and transported to be picked up by drivers. You may also be part of the team that works with larger items, such as large screen TVs, furniture, and appliances, and will receive training on how to use technology to handle these heavy bulk items.

Some of your key duties and responsibilities may include:

  • Receiving and preparing inventory for delivery, ensuring that all packages are accurately sorted and scanned
  • Using technology like smartphones and handheld devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders, and to receive prompts and follow direction for some tasks
  • Building, wrapping, sorting, and transporting pallets and packages, and receiving truck deliveries
  • Lifting up to 49 pounds, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching during shifts
  • Using carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around, and going up and down stairs (where applicable)
  • Working at a height of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine (where applicable), and being comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with moving machines and varying temperatures
