Job Overview

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, modifying, debugging, and maintaining software code according to functional, non-functional, and technical design specifications. You will follow Amdocs software engineering standards, applicable software development methodology, and release processes to ensure that the code is maintainable, scalable, and supportable. Additionally, you will investigate issues by reviewing and debugging code, provide fixes and workarounds, and review changes for operability to maintain existing software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, modify, debug, and maintain software code according to functional, non-functional, and technical design specifications
  • Follow Amdocs software engineering standards, applicable software development methodology, and release processes
  • Investigate issues by reviewing and debugging code, provide fixes and workarounds, and review changes for operability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve goals and provide technical support during solution design for new requirements
  • Assume technical accountability for specific work products within an application and provide technical support during solution design for new requirements
  • Actively look for innovation, continuous improvement, and efficiency in all assigned tasks

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Science, IT, Computer Science, or equivalent. You should also have 1-7 years of experience working on the implementation, configuration, and/or development of the ServiceNow tool, including scripting in ServiceNow, tool configuration, design work, technical configuration, and deployment.

Technical Requirements

  • Experience with ServiceNow development, including the creation and/or customization of core applications
  • Good experience with ServiceNow development, including the delegation of groups, modification of CMS, workflows, business rules, UI actions, UI policies, ACLs, dictionary, catalog items, and updates of all other existing solutions requiring revisions
  • Experience with working or developing with JavaScript
  • Experience with the customization of ServiceNow core applications, such as Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Catalog, knowledge management, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Technical Requirements

  • Experience with the development of ServiceNow Service Portals
  • Good experience with implementing systems using the Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Experience working with ITSM tools
  • Custom application development on the ServiceNow platform, including Custom UI Pages and content in the CMS
  • Experience with HTML5, Jelly, jQuery, and Angular JS
  • Experience with ServiceNow integrations (SOAP, REST, and JSON, as well as JDBC and file imports)
  • Experience with Orchestration and Discovery
  • ServiceNow Systems Administration and ServiceNow Implementation Certified
  • ITIL process knowledge and ITIL V3 foundation certification
  • Experience with rebuilding legacy applications in ServiceNow
  • Experience with upgrades/multiple versions
