Job Overview and Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join our team, working remotely from the comfort of your own home. As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our technology initiatives, leveraging your expertise in software development to solve complex business problems and deliver high-quality solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Utilizing state-of-the-art technology to drive business outcomes, participating in all stages of the development cycle, and upholding agile principles and test-driven development
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including leaders, business analysts, project managers, IT architects, technical leads, and designers, to understand requirements and develop solutions that meet business needs
  • Maintaining and improving existing enterprise services, applications, and platforms using domain-driven design and test-driven development
  • Troubleshooting complex issues, identifying and implementing solutions, and creating detailed project specifications, requirements, and assessments
  • Researching and implementing new technologies to enhance current processes, security, and performance, and upholding the development of coding standards and best practices
  • Working closely with software developers and technical leads to ensure decisions meet long-term enterprise growth needs

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
  • Strong proficiency in Full Stack Development, with demonstrated expertise in the following technologies:
  • J2EE technologies: Java, JSP, JMS, JAXB, JDBC, EJB
  • Database and intelligence systems: PostgreSQL, Sleep, Prophet, Article/Social Planning, Query execution tuning
  • Cloud-based development: Azure
  • Web Servers: Tomcat, tcServer, Websphere
  • Web Services: REST/SOAP (JSON/WSDL/XML)
  • Frameworks: Spring Framework, Spring Boot
  • Front-end: Angular JS, Ext JS, CSS, jQuery, AJAX, HTML, and Thymeleaf
  • Build/continuous integration tools: Maven, Gradle, Git, Junit, Mockito
  • Other DevOps Toolchain: Selenium, Nexus Repository, Hygieia, SonarQube, Refresh on Demand, Slack, GitHub, Jenkins, ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana, New Relic, and GitHub Actions
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design strategies and principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum
  • Experience with DevOps Toolchain strategies, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

While not required, the following qualifications and skills are preferred:

  • A Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
  • Kubernetes AKS and Azure cloud expertise
  • Airline industry experience
