About the Role

As a Remote Revenue Management Analyst, you will be an integral part of our revenue management team, responsible for analyzing market trends, forecasting demand, and optimizing pricing strategies to maximize revenue. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and network planning, to identify opportunities to drive revenue growth and improve our competitive position. Key Responsibilities

  • Maximize revenue for a geographic location within American's network by using advanced models and tools to forecast changes to the competitive environment and passenger demand
  • Develop in-depth expertise of the market and pricing/yield strategies to drive a competitive advantage based on customer buying behavior
  • Leverage a range of data and research to identify high-level trends and strategies to make evidence-based decisions based on quantitative analysis to drive revenue growth
  • Collaborate with business counterparts and build relationships with partner teams, including network planning, marketing, sales, and alliances to identify opportunities to improve revenue performance
  • Presents unique analysis and strategies to senior leadership, designs departmental business strategies, analyzes the effects of fare and inventory changes on market performance, and works on ad hoc projects associated with the airline's strategic goals

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment. The following qualifications are required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Aviation Management, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Commercial Engineering, or a related field
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and other software applications
  • Thorough knowledge of core economics that pressures the airline industry, with the ability to translate regional trends into market-level movements
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize large portions of data, gather information, extract pertinent facts, draw logical conclusions, and present recommendations to senior management
