About the Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our Global Merchant and Network Services (GM&NS) Pricing team. As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for forecasting and reporting merchant discount revenue, creating scorecards, and driving standardization and process improvement across regional pricing groups. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Creating a Canada forecast for merchant discount revenue and tracking monthly performance against forecast
- Identifying drivers of variance and developing strategies to address them
- Creating merchant discount revenue scorecards for the Canada region
- Driving standardization and process improvement across regional pricing groups
- Supporting external audits and performing ad-hoc data analysis to assess discount price trends and uncover insights
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 2+ years of experience in financial services or payments industry, and/or other finance-related roles
- A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business
- High skill level with Excel and strong analytical skills
- Ability to develop complex financial models and draw value-added insights from large quantities of financial data
- Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., SAS, SQL) is required
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong relationship management and collaboration skills with the ability to influence others
- Strong work ethic with an extreme will-to-win and ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
While not required, the following qualifications and skills are preferred:
- Experience working in a global organization with a diverse community of colleagues
- Knowledge of merchant pricing and discount revenue models
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
- Ability to prioritize multiple requests and manage multiple projects simultaneously
