Job Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for performing programming quality assurance and testing, applying best practice strategies and cycles. Your primary objectives will include designing test plans, contents, and methodology for testing, reviewing requirements specifications for defects, performance, reliability, scalability, testability, usability, and security. You will also create and execute test scripts, aid in the planning of test strategies, and set up and maintain test data and environments. Additionally, you will monitor and track the resolution of defects, collaborating with engineers to prevent, report, and resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications and systems
  • Review requirements specifications to identify defects, performance, reliability, scalability, testability, usability, and security issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and operations to identify and prioritize testing needs
  • Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with engineers to resolve issues and improve overall quality
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve testing strategies and methodologies

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field. Additionally, you should have at least 2 years of experience in quality assurance and testing, with a strong background in software development methodologies, automated testing, and test-driven development.

Essential Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in performing test-driven development, automated unit testing, automated functional testing, automated service integration testing, automated regression testing, automated graphical user interface testing, automated web service testing, and automated program compatibility testing
  • 2+ years of experience in preparing automation test frameworks and writing test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts
  • 2+ years of experience in applying software development methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages, such as Java, Python, or C++
  • Experience with automated testing tools, such as Selenium, Appium, or TestComplete
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop creative solutions

  • Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies, such as Docker or Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
