Key Responsibilities

As an Asset Protection Specialist, you'll be responsible for: * Actively monitoring and responding to potential security risks and incidents, including suspicious activity, aggressive behavior, and civil unrest protests * Conducting security and safety inspections, audits, and trend analysis to identify and mitigate potential risks * Supporting emergency preparedness and crisis response programs to minimize the impact of potential incidents * Collaborating with Cast Members, vendors, and law enforcement to ensure seamless integration with internal security operations * Demonstrating and promoting Disney values, behaviors, and guidelines to ensure a risk-adverse culture * Overseeing third-party security teams to ensure seamless integration with internal security operations * Conducting camera and alarm monitoring, related incident notification, investigation, and case management documentation * Assisting with Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) activations and Cast Member and vendor site access security screening * Acting as a liaison to internal and external security partners and law enforcement * Initiating, managing, and bringing to conclusion, Safety & Security lead projects

Essential Qualifications & Skills

To be successful in this role, you'll need: * 4-5 years of experience in Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, Security, or Guest Service * Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks * Proficiency in non-escalation/de-escalation techniques to mitigate guest service and life-threatening scenarios * Ability to clearly communicate with multiple business sectors and act as a liaison to internal and external security partners and law enforcement * Ability to initiate, manage, and bring to conclusion, Safety & Security lead projects * Ability to lift boxes that weigh up to 40 pounds and climb a ladder * Availability to work a flexible schedule that meets the needs of the business, including evenings, holidays, and weekends * Comfortable presenting training & awareness collateral using 1 on 1 role plays and group settings * Valid Security Guard license issued within the State of employment

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications and skills are highly desirable: * Detailed understanding of Asset Protection and Security procedures, regulations, and practices * Understanding of Safety practices and procedures * Experience utilizing physical security technology, including retail CCTV systems, Access Control, 2-way communication devices, and EAS systems * Proficiency in incident management/case reporting * Experience using Microsoft office suite * First Aid/CPR/AED certification * Education in Criminal Justice, Public Safety, or a related field

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

As a Part-Time Asset Protection Specialist, you'll receive a competitive salary, ranging from $16.50 to $23.92 per hour, depending on your skills and experience.
