**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Parole Officer to join our team in Omaha. As a key member of our Community Supervision Services team, you will provide technical support to the PREP House facility, maintaining the safety and security of the site while assisting resident clients with their programming needs. This is a unique opportunity to work in a 24-hour facility, with varying shift schedules to include nights, weekends, and holidays. **Key Responsibilities**
As an Experienced Assistant Parole Officer - Omaha, your key responsibilities will include:
* Maintaining the safety and security of the PREP House facility, including monitoring curfew checks and electronic monitors via computer
* Assisting Parole Officers in making follow-up calls with entities or persons associated with clients for information verification
* Collecting, testing, and reporting/entering results of drug test samples from male clients
* Notifying clients and Parole Officers of positive drug test results
* Maintaining drug testing supplies and inventory
* Assisting with paperwork administration
* Transporting parolees locally and regionally to facilities, programming, human services, and other locations at the direction of supervision
* Participating in training programs, including de-escalation, conflict resolution, ORAS, EPICS, electronic monitoring, Motivational Interviewing, webinars, breath testing, PPCT, Sex Offender Assessments (Static/Stable/Acute)
* Collaborating with colleagues to ensure effective communication and coordination of services
**Essential Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
* Coursework/training in administrative/office support functions, procedures, and methods, including the operation of personal computers and office equipment
* Experience in customer service or public contact, applying criteria/regulations, and/or performing administrative/office/secretarial support work
* Valid driver's license
* Ability to work varying shift schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
* Regular and reliable attendance
**Preferred Qualifications**
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
* Associate degree or current courses in criminal justice, social sciences
* Demonstrated prior substance abuse or chemical testing training
* Previous experience working with the offender population
