**Experienced Associate Relations Consultant – Workplace Investigations, Employee Advocacy, and Compliance**

We're seeking an experienced Associate Relations Consultant to join our team at Lowe's, a Fortune 50 home improvement company. Based in Mooresville, N.C., we support the communities we serve through programs focused on creating safe, affordable housing and helping to develop the next generation of skilled trade experts. **Job Summary** The primary purpose of this role is to conduct workplace complaint investigations in order to resolve employee issues. This includes responsibility for providing advice, consultation, and guidance to create sustainable solutions to individual employees and organizational challenges enterprise-wide. This role must apply knowledge of employment and labor laws, government regulations, and agency rules in order to make informed investigations and case decisions. **Key Responsibilities** * Collaborate directly with Associate Relations Director, Field Operations, HR, and Legal in order to resolve and complete associate relations inquiries, concerns, and investigations in a timely manner * Serve as the reviewer and/or auditor of HR work to support the function, its operation, and compliance with processes and regulations * Analyze and provide recommendations for identified trends through benchmark reports, litigations, etc., resulting in improved positive employee engagement * Assume ownership for investigative case assignments and monitor the status and progress of escalated matters in the case management system * Document investigation findings aligned with best practices to minimize risk and litigation in employee relations situations * Work to reduce the total number of complaints received internally and externally, taking a proactive approach by creating litigation maps, training, and examining historical cases * Recommend solutions and assist Field Operations with facilitation of resolution and action plans related to employee issues and union concerns * Provide process improvement support, knowledge base improvement suggestions, and peer coaching * Influence leaders by presenting recommendations and findings, working to reach common ground on case findings and future approach, with guidance and feedback from Director when necessary * Take on stretch assignments and more difficult litigious and projects that impact the entire enterprise on legal and employee relations matters **Essential Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, Labor Relations, or a related field (or equivalent years of experience without a degree) * 5 years of experience in an HR Generalist, Employee Relations, or a related role conducting complaint investigations related to Federal, State, Local employment and labor laws for a multi-site organization * Advanced knowledge of workplace complaint investigations, employee advocacy, and EEO compliance * Direct experience gathering, researching, analyzing, and resolving complex employee relations issues (including conduct, performance, and policy violations) * Maintains licenses and continued educating credits **Preferred Qualifications** * Master's degree in MBA, Human Resources, or Labor Relations * JD with a concentration or experience in employment/labor law **Skills and Competencies** * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information * Strong knowledge of employment and labor laws, government regulations, and agency rules * Ability to analyze complex data and provide recommendations for improvement * Strong presentation and influencing skills **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** As an Associate Relations Consultant at Lowe's, you will have opportunities to: * Develop your skills and expertise in workplace investigations, employee advocacy, and compliance * Collaborate with a talented team of professionals in HR, Field Operations, and Legal * Contribute to the development of sustainable solutions to individual and organizational challenges * Participate in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge * Take on stretch assignments and projects that impact the entire enterprise **Work Environment and Company Culture** Lowe's is a dynamic and fast-paced organization that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
