We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to live their healthiest life, and we are passionate about making a difference in the lives of our members and the communities we serve. **Job Summary** As a Behavioral Health Care Advocate - UM, you will be responsible for managing and administering inpatient and residential behavioral health benefits, reviewing clinical assessments and determining appropriate levels of care, and coordinating benefits and transitions between various levels of care. You will also identify ways to add value to treatment plans and consult with facility staff on those ideas, as well as identify appropriate community-based services for discharge planning as indicated. This is a remote opportunity, and you will have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home. **Primary Responsibilities** * Managing and administering inpatient and residential behavioral health benefits * Reviewing clinical assessments and determining appropriate levels of care * Determining if additional clinical services are needed * Coordinating benefits and transitions between various levels of care * Identifying ways to add value to treatment plans and consulting with facility staff on those ideas * Identifying appropriate community-based services for discharge planning as indicated **What We Offer** * A competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package * The opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a talented team of professionals * A culture of diversity, inclusion, and compassion that values and supports the well-being of all employees * Opportunities for career growth and development, including training and education programs * A flexible and remote work arrangement that allows you to work from the comfort of your own home **Required Qualifications** * Master's degree in psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or an RN with 2 years of experience in behavioral health * Arizona licensure and residency; Licenses must be independent, active, and unrestricted * 2 years of experience in a related mental health environment * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Outlook, Internet) * Must be willing to work occasional holidays (dictated by business need) * Must be willing to accommodate changes in working hours (dictated by business need) **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience in an inpatient setting * Experience working in an environment that required coordination of benefits and utilization of multiple groups and resources for patients * Experience working with Medicaid lines of business * Dual diagnosis experience with mental health and substance abuse * Previous experience working in a call center environment * Proven excellent communication skills * Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment **Skills and Competencies** * Strong clinical knowledge and experience in behavioral health * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Outlook, Internet) **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At UnitedHealth Group, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
