As a BIE, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, data engineers, research scientists, economists, program and product managers, to provide actionable insights and drive business growth. **A Day in the Life** As a Business Intelligence Engineer on our team, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, automated, and user-friendly systems, reports, and dashboards to support our defect elimination program. You'll work closely with operations, business teams, economists, and machine learning teams to consult, develop, and implement key performance indicators (KPIs), automated reporting and process solutions, and data infrastructure improvements to meet business needs. **Key Responsibilities** * Design, develop, and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc. * Partner with operations/business teams/economist/machine learning (ML) teams to consult, develop, and implement KPIs, automated reporting/process solutions, and data infrastructure improvements to meet business needs. * Develop the end-to-end automation of pipelines for applications and ML models. * Apply analytical skills to extract meaningful insights and learnings from large and complicated data sets. * Serve as liaison with business and technical teams to achieve project objectives, requiring data gathering, problem solving, modeling, and communication of insights and recommendations. **Essential Qualifications** * 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc. experience * Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools * Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines * Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab * Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling * Experience writing complex SQL queries * Bachelor's Degree **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift * Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets **Skills and Competencies** * Strong business judgment and organization skills * Experience measuring product performance and collaborating with product owners to answer key questions * Detail-oriented, enthusiastic, and flexible * Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong team dynamic and welcoming culture * Excellent communication and problem-solving skills * Experience with big data technologies, statistical modeling, and natural language processing **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** As a Business Intelligence Engineer on our team, you'll have the opportunity to: * Work with cutting-edge technologies and tools, including AWS, Redshift, and Tableau * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and innovation * Develop your skills in data visualization, statistical modeling, and natural language processing * Participate in training and development programs to enhance your technical and business skills * Contribute to the development of our defect elimination program and make a meaningful impact on our customers **Work Environment and Company Culture** Our team is a dynamic and collaborative environment that values innovation, customer satisfaction, and teamwork.
