About the Role

As a member of our Borrower Success Team at blithequark, you will play a vital role in helping student loan borrowers achieve their financial goals. Working directly with borrowers, you will provide expert guidance and support, ensuring they can effectively utilize our tools and enroll in federal forgiveness and repayment programs. With comprehensive training and hands-on experience, you will become an authority on the student loan landscape, serving as the primary point of contact for our users. This is a remote, full-time contractor position with the possibility of extension or permanent hiring in NYC, based on performance and company needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of blithequark's product offerings and how they address the unique needs of borrowers
• Engage with borrowers via email and live chat, providing empathetic and clear support to ensure their success
• Review and submit applications for federal loan programs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
• Proactively identify areas for improvement and implement innovative ideas and automations to scale the team's impact
• Collaborate with the product, design, and engineering teams to bring user feedback to life, driving the development of new features and offerings
• Work closely with the Borrower Success Team to achieve team and company growth goals, aligning with our social mission to improve the financial health of borrowers

Recommended Experience and Qualifications

We are seeking talented individuals with at least one year of relevant work experience, preferably in start-ups, finance (including financial aid or fintech), government programs, or customer support. A passion for applying your skills in a fast-paced startup environment to tackle a major social issue is essential.
