Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Own Every Day

  • Revenue Assurance Leadership: Serve as the primary advocate for revenue assurance on new product launches, strategic initiatives, and ad‑hoc projects, ensuring financial controls are embedded from day one.
  • Risk Identification & Mitigation: Conduct thorough risk assessments, develop launch‑gate requirements, and design proactive controls that detect and prevent revenue leakage.
  • Financial Control Design & Maintenance: Build, test, and continuously improve financial control frameworks that monitor billing accuracy, detect anomalies, and enable rapid remediation.
  • Cross‑Functional Partnerships: Collaborate with product managers, engineering, finance, operations, and legal teams to resolve billing discrepancies, streamline order‑to‑bill processes, and drive systemic improvements.
  • Data Analysis & Insight Generation: Leverage tools such as ACSS, VISION, POS, MARS, CPI, EDW, and SQL to extract, cleanse, and analyze large datasets, turning raw data into actionable recommendations.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Prepare and deliver clear, executive‑level updates on project status, risk exposure, and remediation actions, tailoring the message to varied audiences.
  • Project Management Excellence: Lead end‑to‑end project lifecycles—initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure—using Agile methodologies, JIRA, and Clarity to keep initiatives on schedule and within scope.
  • Domain Expertise Development: Become the go‑to authority for a specific business product or system, mastering its end‑to‑end functionality and translating that knowledge into risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ad‑Hoc Research & Problem Solving: Investigate complex billing issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and propose innovative digital solutions that drive long‑term efficiency.

Essential Qualifications – The Foundations of Success

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of four years in finance, audit, quality assurance, or a technical discipline.
  • Revenue Assurance Acumen: Demonstrated experience in revenue assurance, financial controls, or order‑to‑bill processes within a telecom or technology environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Hands‑on knowledge of Verizon‑specific platforms (ACSS, VISION, POS, MARS, CPI, EDW, REVO) and solid SQL querying capabilities.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong quantitative skills, with the ability to perform complex data analysis, identify trends, and present insights that influence senior leadership.
  • Project Management Skills: Proven track record of leading cross‑functional projects, managing timelines, budgets, and deliverables using Agile and traditional methodologies.
  • Communication Excellence: Superior written and verbal communication skills, able to distill technical concepts into clear, actionable messages for diverse stakeholders.

  • Experience with telecom order‑to‑bill life cycles, including provisioning, network architecture, and billing system integrations.

  • Familiarity with additional analytics platforms (Tableau, Power BI) and scripting languages (Python, R).
  • Hands‑on experience with enterprise ticketing tools such as JIRA and Clarity, particularly in an Agile environment.
