We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Data and Analytics, Applications Engineering crew, working from home in California.
Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Full Stack Data Engineer to join our team, working on vital subsystems of our exciting products. As a key member of our Data and Analytics crew, you will partner with contributors to provide critical analysis operations, ensuring the success of our fast-paced and innovative environment. The ideal candidate will have strong data engineering skills, excellent interpersonal communication, and experience building, optimizing, and handling ETL Pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with implementation and maintenance of internal Data and Analytics and reporting processes
- Research and stay abreast of rapidly evolving data requirements, ensuring essential system and process adjustments are made to meet those requirements
- Identify potential process enhancements and propose implementation strategies
- Develop and present information on data-related topics, including reporting
- Analyze the need for new systems or upgrades to existing software to meet business needs and make decisions on whether they are necessary or not
- Recommend solutions that adhere to business standards, considering the impact on upstream and downstream systems and stakeholders
- Closely monitor the project from inception to final completion and assist in User Acceptance Testing
- Work on unique tasks related to data as assigned
What You'll Bring
To succeed in this role, you will need to bring the following skills and experience:
- 2+ years of previous experience as a Data Engineer or equivalent experience
- Experience with Tableau or any visualization tool, Data Warehousing, Data Modeling
- Strong experience with relational databases like SQL Server, MySQL, and Vertica. NoSQL databases experience is a plus
- Experience with user-defined workflows (e.g., Airflow)
- Experience with writing Kafka clients and producers
- Experience with Apache Spark Streaming and Hive is a plus
- Problem-solving skills, with the ability to approach problems in new ways
- Working knowledge of data control software like Airflow, or other ETL tools is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to design an effective solution

Expected Compensation
The expected compensation for this role is $30 - $40/Hour salary + cash and stock awards + benefits. Pay presented may vary depending on individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The overall repayment package for this function may include other factors depending on the location presented.
