The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in implementing effective safety programs and fostering a culture of safety excellence. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen attention to detail, and the proven ability to drive change through data-driven insights and continuous improvement initiatives. **Key Responsibilities** As a Director of Health and Safety, you will be responsible for: * Developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. * Leading and managing a team of safety professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the successful execution of safety initiatives. * Utilizing safety analytics and metrics to identify trends, assess risk, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance across all operational areas. * Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective change management strategies aimed at improving safety culture and reducing incidents. * Conducting regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols. * Coordinating with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and industry organizations, to stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in health and safety. * Developing and delivering comprehensive safety training programs for employees at all levels, emphasizing the importance of risk awareness and mitigation strategies. * Serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing strategic guidance and recommendations on health and safety matters. * Functioning as a leader on the overall Risk Management team, collaborating with partners in Risk, DOT Compliance, Environmental, and Security related roles. **Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you will need to possess: * A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field;
