Job Overview

This part-time position is designed to provide exceptional customer service to our clients, responding to and resolving inbound customer requests related to our banking products and services. As the primary point of contact for many of our customers, you will play a vital role in building and retaining customer relationships, identifying customer concerns or needs, and resolving inquiries in a professional and courteous manner. Your ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, think critically, and provide solutions-oriented support will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to and resolve inbound customer requests related to banking products and services via various communication channels, including phone, chat, and email.
  • Provide professional and courteous customer support, ensuring that customer inquiries are responded to and resolved within established department service levels.
  • Build and retain customer relationships by providing a level of service that differentiates us from our competitors.
  • Identify customer concerns or needs, resolve inquiries, or recommend best solutions, and follow up to ensure resolution.
  • Partner with other departments to reach mutually satisfactory resolutions of customer issues and identify processes or procedures that can be changed to improve future customer experiences.
  • Maintain knowledge of deposit, loan, and digital banking services, as well as other banking products, to provide accurate and effective support.
  • Consistently meet or exceed agent metric standards for calls handled, adherence to schedule, ready/not ready time, and customer satisfaction.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of one year of banking or financial services experience in a customer service role, preferably in a contact center environment.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role, with a proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to express thoughts, ideas, and concepts clearly and concisely.
  • A professional demeanor, with a positive outlook and a willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues and employees.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain confidentiality.
