Job Overview

In this critical role, you will provide exceptional telephone support to Aetna Medicaid members and providers, addressing a wide range of inquiries and concerns with professionalism, patience, and understanding. As a key ambassador of the blithequark brand, you will embody our Heart At Work Behaviors, fostering a culture of empathy, inclusivity, and customer-centricity in every interaction. To succeed in this position, you must reside within 50 miles of Richmond, VA, and be willing to commute to our Richmond office when technical issues require on-site support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to inbound calls from members and providers, resolving inquiries related to benefits, eligibility, services, prior authorization requirements, and other health care-related topics.
  • Provide accurate, timely, and personalized support to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
  • Utilize high-speed internet connectivity via a secure ethernet connection to access our systems and tools (note: Wi-Fi is not permitted).
  • Participate in comprehensive training programs, including an initial 6-week training schedule, to develop the skills and knowledge necessary for success in this role.
  • Meet performance standards, attendance requirements, and call quality goals, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with members and providers, both orally and in written form.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined, with a proven ability to work independently from home.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated workspace that meets our technical requirements.
  • Willingness to commute to our Richmond office when necessary, due to technical issues or other business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working remotely in a call center environment, with a track record of success in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with Medicaid and Medicare programs, as well as health care industry trends and developments.
  • Previous experience with customer service software and technology platforms.

Compensation and Benefits

The typical pay range for this role is $17.00 - $27.90 per hour, depending on experience, education, and other relevant factors. In addition to your base compensation, you will be eligible for a range of benefits, including:
