Remote Patient Financial Advocate

Key Responsibilities
• Assist patients in understanding their financial obligations, insurance benefits, and available payment options.
• Communicate effectively with patients, providing clear explanations of financial policies and procedures.
• Resolve patient inquiries and concerns related to billing, insurance claims, and payment plans.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and internal departments to ensure a seamless financial experience for patients.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, tracking financial assistance applications and status updates.
• Conduct outreach to patients to offer guidance and support in managing their health-related financial responsibilities.
• Develop and implement educational materials to enhance patient understanding of financial processes.
Required and preferred qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in finance, healthcare administration, or a related field.
• Proven communication skills, particularly in a healthcare or financial setting.
• Experience working directly with patients or clients in a customer service role.
• Familiarity with health insurance policies and billing practices.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Preferred: Relevant certifications in healthcare financing or patient advocacy.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related role.
