Position Overview

This Seasonal Full-Time position is available until May 2025, with the potential to extend based on performance and business needs. As an Event Technician, Audio Visual, you will be responsible for setting up and operating basic to small-scale audiovisual systems in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Your primary goal will be to deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring that every event exceeds our clients' expectations. You will report to an Operations Manager, Operations Director, or Director, Event Technology, and work closely with our team to achieve success.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Equipment Operation: Ensure the accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audiovisual equipment, including but not limited to sound systems, projectors, and lighting.
  • Customer Service: Strive to exceed client expectations through effective communication, maintaining a positive relationship with internal and external customers, and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Technical Ability: Demonstrate a basic understanding of audiovisual equipment and software, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle equipment challenges and changes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Systems Knowledge: Understand company processes, follow procedures, and complete systems entry and paperwork accurately, utilizing equipment sheets to determine scheduled setups and strikes.

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • High School Diploma: Required, with an Associate's degree preferred.
  • Technical Certification: Achieve Technical Level 3 Certification per Encore Technical Skillset Matrix within 180 days.
  • Customer Service Experience: 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred, with a focus on delivering exceptional service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Audio Visual Experience: 1 year of audiovisual experience or equivalent in an educational environment is preferred, with a basic understanding of audiovisual equipment and software.
  • Valid Driver's License: Required for team members who may operate company vehicles, with additional DOT requirements potentially applicable.
